Storefront comparison
Roomvo Alternative for Furniture Retailers
DecorViz Storefront is a Roomvo alternative for furniture retailers who want a See in Your Room button on their product pages without a catalog onboarding project. It works from the product photography you already publish.
Premium velvet upholstery with solid wood frame. Available in 4 colors. Free delivery.
No catalog build, no 3D model, no reshoot. The button reads the product photo that is already on the page.
Quick verdict
Roomvo assembles a product catalog for the visualizer. DecorViz Storefront reads the photo already on your page. Almost everything below follows from that one difference.
Roomvo
Choose it if your catalog sits in brands Roomvo already carries, and you want one visualizer across your website, your showroom, and a dealer network.
DecorViz Storefront
Choose it if you want the button live on your own product pages this week, including the private label, imported and one-off pieces you carry, without waiting on a supplier to join anything.
Claims about Roomvo are its own, published on its furniture manufacturer page, its independent retailer page, and its dealer page, accessed September 2026. Roomvo also publishes performance figures on those pages, including shoppers being five times more likely to buy after using the visualizer. Those are Roomvo's measurements, not DecorViz measurements, and we have not independently verified them.
Why furniture retailers look for a Roomvo alternative
Most merchants who search for a Roomvo alternative are not unhappy with room visualization. They have already decided that showing a product in the shopper's own space is worth doing. What stops them is the shape of the commitment.
Catalog coverage
A catalog-backed visualizer covers the products that are in the catalog. Independent furniture retailers rarely have a catalog that clean. Private label, container imports, small domestic makers, and made-to-order upholstery all sit outside it.
Not knowing the price
Roomvo directs buyers to book a demo, where setup is walked through and applicable pricing is discussed. Some teams want to test on their own products before that conversation.
Scope
A platform built to serve manufacturers, dealer networks, in-store kiosks, and retailer websites is a large product. A single-store merchant may want the one piece of it that sits on the product page.
If any of those describe your situation, the useful question is not which visualizer is better. It is which one you can put in front of shoppers before the quarter ends.
Where DecorViz Storefront takes a different approach
One design decision explains almost every difference below. Storefront never builds a catalog.
The product image is the asset
Storefront reads the product photo already displayed on the page the shopper is looking at. There is no ingest, no product feed to map, and no SKU that is missing because nobody prepared it yet.
Coverage is a property of the install
Once the install is live, your product pages are covered. Coverage does not grow SKU by SKU, and it does not depend on which suppliers have joined a network.
Nothing to model
No 3D assets, no photogrammetry, no reshoots, no per-SKU setup fee. That removes the cost line that usually decides whether a visualizer reaches the long tail of a catalog.
One install, then it is live
Install the app on Shopify, or paste one snippet on any other platform, choose how the button looks, publish. There is nothing to prepare per product first.
Published pricing
Storefront starts at 119 USD per month for 250 previews, and the plan adjusts to the preview volume your store needs. No quote and no demo call required to start planning.
Shopper photos stay private
Room photos belong to the shopper. Merchants cannot view them in the Storefront dashboard or in product analytics, and Storefront sessions are isolated from consumer accounts.
Roomvo alternative comparison for furniture retailers
Grouped by the questions that actually decide a merchant evaluation.
It is not a comparison with Roomvo Assistant, Catalog, Kiosk, Sites, Studio, Virtual Samples, the Partner Program, PRO CRM, SiteAds, or QFloors, and it is not a comparison with the Visualizer's flooring, tile, paint, wallpaper, or countertop categories. Where a row depends on one of those, or on Roomvo's separate offer to manufacturers, the row says so.
| What you are evaluating | DecorViz Storefront | Roomvo |

| Live camera AR | Not offered. Previews come from a still room photo | Not publicly confirmed for the furniture visualizer |
| Enterprise PIM and ERP integration | Not required, and not offered | Offered, per the manufacturer page |
Rows marked not publicly confirmed are gaps in Roomvo's public documentation as of September 2026, not weaknesses. Ask Roomvo directly rather than assuming either answer. DecorViz figures reflect live plan configuration on the same date.
On the question of 3D, we could not settle it from public sources and we are not going to guess. Roomvo's furnishings pages say "no floating 3D models", but that describes what the shopper sees, not what the platform uses or what a retailer supplies. The sentence "no CAD files or 3D models required" belongs to Roomvo Studio, a separate paid content service that also states it "uses cutting-edge 3D rendering technology", and it refers to swatch imagery rather than furniture. The independent-retailer page does not mention 3D, AR, rotation, or zoom at all. Rendered-looking imagery is not evidence either way. If this matters to your evaluation, ask Roomvo directly and get the answer in writing.
What the shopper actually does
Three steps, all of them on your product page.
How to evaluate it against your current setup
You do not have to replace anything to find out whether this works on your catalog. Because there is no catalog onboarding, a Storefront pilot can run beside whatever you use today.
Two details decide whether the pilot tells you anything. Enable it on a category where hesitation is costing you, and give the return number a full return window before you read it. A shorter look will only show you engagement, not returns. The Shopify app guide covers the install and troubleshooting, and the Storefront setup guide does the same for every other platform.
Where each product is the right call
Good fit for DecorViz Storefront
- Independent furniture retailers and multi-brand furniture ecommerce.
- Rug, lighting, wall art, mirror, and decor sellers.
- Private label, direct import, and made-to-order upholstery catalogs.
- Shopify stores that want the button live without a project plan.
- Merchants testing whether room previews change behaviour before committing budget.
Look elsewhere if you need
- Swatch-driven flooring, tile, or wallpaper visualization with correct pattern repeat.
- In-store kiosk deployment or a dealer network rollout.
- Brand-level analytics across many independent retailers carrying your products.
- Configurable 3D products where the shopper changes fabric, finish, or modular layout and needs to rotate the result.
- Any promise of exact dimensions or guaranteed fit. Storefront does not make that claim, and no honest photo-based tool should.
If you are still shortlisting rather than replacing, the furniture retailer tool comparison covers seven platforms including Roomvo, Cylindo, Threekit, and 3D Cloud, grouped by the job each one does.
What DecorViz Storefront costs
A published starting price, no demo call, and a plan that adjusts as your preview volume grows. Your shoppers never pay DecorViz and never see a paywall.
Published starter plan
Storefront starts at 119 USD per month for 250 previews, with commercial use, no watermark, priority support, and the Storefront widget on your product pages.
Adjusts to your volume
The starter plan is a starting point, not a ceiling. If your catalog and traffic need more previews, the plan adjusts to match.
Try it before you pay
On Shopify, every install starts free with 5 trial previews, so you can test the button on your own products before choosing a plan.
Previews draw from your monthly plan credits rather than billing per shopper, so a good week does not produce a surprise invoice. Roomvo does not publish list pricing and asks buyers to book a demo, so a like-for-like comparison is not possible from public information. Ask them for a written figure and compare it against the numbers above.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, for the product page job. Both let a shopper see an item in their own room from your product page. This page compares the Roomvo Furnishings Visualizer as sold to independent retailers. DecorViz Storefront works from the product photo already published on your page, installs from the Shopify App Store without a call, and publishes its pricing. Roomvo asks retailers to book a demo and discusses pricing there.
Roomvo tells independent retailers that when their suppliers and their organization partner with Roomvo, the visualizer automatically stays current with the latest product catalogue. So the catalogue is assembled together with Roomvo and your suppliers. DecorViz Storefront has no catalogue step at all. It reads the product image already on the page the shopper is viewing.
Storefront starts at 119 USD per month for 250 previews, and the plan adjusts to the preview volume your store needs. Previews draw from a monthly allowance, so you pay for a set plan rather than per shopper. On Shopify, every install starts free with 5 trial previews.
Roomvo does not publish list pricing for the Furnishings Visualizer. Its page for independent furniture retailers answers the cost question with “Book a demo with one of our experts, and we’ll walk you through your options and applicable pricing.” Roomvo does offer a free product called Roomvo Assistant, but that page describes flooring, walls, countertops and backsplashes rather than furniture, so do not assume it covers a furniture catalogue. Confirm current terms with Roomvo directly.
No. Shopper room photos stay private. Merchants cannot view them through the Storefront dashboard or product analytics, and Storefront sessions are isolated from consumer DecorViz accounts.
It can, and it can also run alongside one during evaluation. Because Storefront needs no catalog onboarding, the usual path is to install it, enable it on one category, and compare engagement and return rate against the existing visualizer before deciding.
No. DecorViz is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Roomvo. Details about Roomvo on this page come from Roomvo's own public pages and were checked in September 2026.
