The studio behind the story

A boutique built on taste needed a faster way to share the vision.

The Collective Shop is a family-owned home decor boutique and interior design studio in Woodland Hills, California. Founder and interior designer Danielle Decker created a place where commerce, community, and design could meet.

The shop brings together vintage furniture, art, lighting, rugs, made-to-order pieces, and hand-selected sustainable goods. Its strength is not endless choice. It is a distinctive point of view and a team that helps each customer find what belongs in their home.

That same team guides full interior design projects. But before a client orders a chair or approves a room, they need to see how the pieces work together. The team needed a faster way to make its ideas visible without flattening a personal design experience into another generic presentation.

One tool, three creative jobs

From client presentation to campaign creative.

Interior design

Make a proposal feel real

Designer Kendall Mibelli can place selected furniture in a photo of the client's room, turning an abstract recommendation into something everyone can see and discuss together.

Boutique retail

Show where a special piece belongs

Customers can explore how a vintage find or made-to-order piece works in their home before committing, with The Collective Shop's team guiding the choice.

Marketing

Turn products into room stories

The team can transform product photography into styled room imagery for email campaigns, giving every send more atmosphere and inspiration without organizing a photoshoot.

DecorViz in their workflow

One visual language, from the client room to the campaign.

The Collective Shop can use the same creative idea to present options, align with a client, and inspire its wider audience.

The interior design workflow

Four steps.One shared vision.

01

The client shares a room photo

Before or during a design meeting, the client provides a simple phone photo of the space they want to transform.

02

Kendall Mibelli curates the pieces

Using The Collective Shop's catalog and one-of-a-kind finds, Kendall Mibelli selects the furniture and decor that express the direction she wants the client to consider.

03

The design appears in the room

DecorViz turns those selections into a realistic room preview, so the client can see the proposed pieces in the space before anything is ordered or moved.

04

The preview becomes a conversation

Instead of asking a client to imagine the result, the designer can ask what they love, what they would change, and which direction feels most like home.

Less time explaining.More energy designing.

Across the boutique and studio, The Collective Shop turned visualization into a practical part of its creative process. Presentations got faster, decisions got easier, and the work got more enjoyable.

Studio productivity −70%

Reduction in presentation preparation time. Concepts that required hours can now be created in minutes and explored with the client.

Creative jobs 3 Retail customers, design client presentations, and email campaigns, all served by the same tool.
Email campaigns Higher engagement for room-styled product imagery compared with flat product photography.

"We chose DecorViz over many products because it fits our needs as both a home decor shop and an interior design studio. It makes us more productive, and it's genuinely fun for our designers and clients to view designed rooms before we implement the changes."

The boutique advantage

Technology supports the relationship. It does not replace it.

Curated

The designer's taste stays in control

The tool does not make the recommendation. The Collective Shop does. Visualization simply makes the team's point of view easier for a client to understand and respond to.

Collaborative

Clients become part of the process

A room preview gives designer and client a shared object for conversation. The experience feels more personal because the starting point is the client's own home.

Distinctive

Speed can still feel like luxury

Making a beautiful idea visible during the conversation signals preparation, confidence, and care. The technology recedes while the boutique experience becomes more memorable.

Questions from designers and boutiques

What other creative teams can learn from The Collective Shop.

01Can AI visualization be used for interior design client presentations?+

Yes. A designer can upload a photo of the client's room, select pieces from a catalog or product library, and create a room preview for meetings, proposals, and design presentations. The Collective Shop uses this as an assisted, designer-led experience.

02Can a boutique use AI visualization without losing its personal approach?+

Yes. The designer remains in control of the curation and conversation. Clients see their own room with pieces selected by the team, so the technology supports the relationship instead of replacing it.

03Can AI room visualization create images for email campaigns?+

Yes. The Collective Shop uses DecorViz to place products in styled rooms for email marketing, turning catalog images into more contextual campaign creative without organizing a photoshoot.

04Does it work for vintage or one-of-a-kind pieces?+

Yes. DecorViz can use product imagery taken in-store or on a phone. That makes it practical for vintage drops and unique pieces that do not have 3D models or a traditional product-photography set.

05Where should a design studio begin?+

Start with one frequent decision: a furniture option a client struggles to picture, a room proposal that usually needs several explanations, or a product that needs a stronger campaign setting. A focused first workflow makes the value easy for the team and client to see.
