What angle should I photograph my room for a furniture preview?
Shoot from standing height, roughly eye level, facing the wall where you want to place the furniture. This gives the AI the clearest view of the floor, the wall, and the relationship between them, which is what it uses to place the piece realistically in perspective.
A very high angle looking down or a very low angle looking up makes perspective harder to match and can produce placements that look slightly off. The most natural eye-level view from the opposite side of the room is also the most useful photo for the AI.
You do not need a wide-angle lens, a panoramic shot, or any special equipment. A single straight-on photo of the wall or corner you are furnishing is the best starting point. If you want to place furniture in a corner specifically, shooting from the opposite corner of the room so the full target wall is visible gives the clearest result.
