What if my room photo already has furniture in it?
That is fine. Most people use photos of their furnished room, not an empty space. The AI places the new piece into the scene alongside whatever is already there, showing you how the new item looks in context with your current furniture.
This is actually more useful than an empty room photo for most decisions. When you are buying a new accent chair, you need to see it next to your existing sofa, not floating in a bare space. When you are buying a new coffee table, you need to see how it reads against your existing rug and sofa. A furnished room photo gives you that context.
The one case where an empty room photo works better is virtual staging: if you want to see a completely fresh arrangement with entirely new furniture, you need a blank canvas. For that use case, an empty or sparsely furnished room photo is ideal. For everything else, use the room as it is.
DecorViz lets you upload a photo of your furnished room and preview a new piece placed into the scene. Try it free on your own photo.
